Click on Your TV and it seems that just about every celebrity now has gone green. Whats worse is that they want the whole world to know about because today it makes for good press and PR. So there they are being photographed in their new hybrid vehicle for all the public to see.
Call the Limo Service
Do you really think that they actually drive that tiny light vehicle down the road in LA traffic? Hell no they don’t and as soon as the guy with the camera left they called a limo service and took off gulping 8 miles to the gallon.
Very Expensive Technology
So is there a green carbon free limo service even available? The truth is that right now no, but in the coming future there should be some changes. The problem is that while the technology is available it is quite expensive.
Electric and Hydrogen Conversions
Believe it or not, large heavy luxury vehicles are being converted to fully electric and hydrogen power by private parties. It costs around $100,000 per vehicle to do so but it can be done. However; there are some problems that prevent these vehicles from being used in a limo service.

For instance, new technological developments in batteries are needed to shrink and lighten them, as well as make them quicker to recharge. Right now the batteries that are needed to power a limo weigh in at around a ton or so.
Something to Think About
They also would fill the trunk, due to their size and would take several hours to recharge between uses. So a trunk full of batteries and 8 hour down times would create problems for a limo service and in turn make this type of vehicle economically infeasible.
